Stainless steel screws

Stainless steel decking screws assortment

Stainless steel is the specification for any fixing that has to survive weather, salt or washdown for the life of the structure. TGR supplies two families: martensitic grade 410, hard enough to self-drill into steel, and austenitic grades 304 and 316 for timber, decking and marine exposure.

Grade 410 self-drills but offers moderate corrosion resistance. Grades 304 and 316 resist corrosion far better but cannot drill hardened steel unaided, which is why the thin sheet range uses a bi-metal construction: a stainless body carrying a hardened carbon steel point.

Grade 410 — self-drilling

Supplied in stainless steel 410, and also available in carbon steel 1022A or bi-metal A2/A4+SCM435.

Grades 304 and 316 — timber, decking and marine

Austenitic stainless for decking, coastal and high-exposure work.
